Since i am so free. I shall do a review on this Korean Show
STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.
Its a Korean series show that has been board cast in Singapore last year. Its a show that left deep impression in my head because its really touching. The story line of the show is well written. Its not those kind of show that does not have a properly ending. This show starts off very nicely and end very nicely as well.
Ever wonder what does stairways to heaven stands for?
Stairway to Heaven.
Starring : Choi Ji Woo (Leading Actress) & Kwon Sang Woo (Leading Actor)
The story starts off as the little girl and little boy being as childhood friends. Their special bond friendship soon blossom into love. It was then the guy (Sang Woo) had to leave for American to further his studies.
The girl was left behind. Her father remarried a lady after her mum passed away. Her step mother and step sister were bullying her all these while yet she only suffer in silent. She tried to treat her step brother nicely but he took her friendship for affection instead.
Her step brother fall in love with her and soon the tragic story unfold.
Years later,
Sang Woo return to South Korea and wanted to bring Ji Woo back with him to American only to find out that she had died in an accident. The accident which was cause by Ji Woo's step sister made it look like Ji Woo had died but actually she didn't. She merely lost her memory and her step brother which love her deeply decided to keep her for himself. So he brought her to a far away place and hide her up. Telling Ji Woo that he is her bf. Ji Woo believed. Sang Woo went back to America.
Another five years later,
Sang Woo return to Korea with Ji Woo's step sister (Yuri).
Yuri was very determine to make Sang Woo marry her but all these while his heart was still was Ji Woo. Yuri would even go to the extend of harming/killing Ji Woo to make Sang Woo marry her. Once at a mall, Sang Woo caught a glimpse of a lady that look like Ji Woo and made chase after her. In his effortless search he wonder whether he had turn crazy or is that ghost that he had just seen. Sang Woo was very persistent in his mind that Ji Woo was still alive.
Ji Woo's step brother changed her name because he didn't want anybody to recognize her. When Sang Woo finally found Ji Woo, she couldn't recognize him. Moreover because of the name change Sang Woo couldn't insist that Ji Woo was the little girl that he loved. He refuse to let her out of his sight.
Sang Woo would find ways and mean to make Ji Woo admit that she was the little girl that he love. At times, he would realize that he is forcing somebody who is not Ji Woo to be her. After spending times with Ji Woo, Sang Woo started to fall in love with her. Ji Woo's step brother & sister was very determine not to let that happen.
Ji Woo was regaining her memory bit by bit. She finally remember her love for Sang Woo and was pretty enraged with her step brother for lying to her. Her step brother became guilty and decided to go back to loving her from afar. He decided to let Ji Woo go back to Sang Woo. The guy she truly loves.
All these while Ji Woo's step sister(Yuri) was plotting evil thought on her. Wanting Sang Woo to come back loving her instead of Ji Woo. She was filled with jealousy.
Happiness was short-lived. Ji Woo soon found out that she had Eye Cancer and will become blind. Ji Woo's step brother found out about this when he tails her to hospital one day.
She doesn't wants Sang Woo to know and feel sad so she decided to just be friends with him and to leave him. She told Sang Woo that she will be going back to stay with her brother because her brother needs her. She thought that only her step brother knows about her illness. What she didn't know was that out of guilt, her step brother has already told Sang Woo about her illness. He wanted the best for Ji Woo.
All these while Ji Woo thought she was pouring her heart out to her brother. But little did she know that Sang Woo was the one who was with her all these while.
Sang Woo and Ji Woo got married in the end. At the wedding, Ji Woo's step brother revealed the truth about Yuri's attempt to kill Ji Woo and the suffering she has caused everybody. Ji Woo's step mother went crazy and Yuri was arrested.
The step brother who was so eager to donate his eyes to allow Ji Woo to see again was told by the doctors that he couldn't as they will only accept organs from those that have passed away.
He killed himself as a last gift for her. He wanted to give her happiness like how she used to give him in the past.
But by the time, Cancer cells have already spread to her brains.

In the end, they walk hand in hand by the beach.
Ji Woo passed away peacefully in the arms of her beloved, Sang Woo.
Step by step she went to heaven, waiting for the day she will reunite with Sang Woo, once again.
